The Minnesota Certificate of Compliance is a document issued by the Minnesota Department of Revenue (MOOR) that certifies that a business has met all the state's requirements for doing business in the state of Minnesota. The Certificate of Compliance is required for businesses that are registered with the Minnesota Secretary of State. It is issued after the business has registered, filed all of its necessary tax returns, and paid all applicable taxes. There are two types of Minnesota Certificate of Compliance: a Standard Certificate of Compliance and an Enhanced Certificate of Compliance. The Standard Certificate of Compliance certifies that the business is compliant with state laws and regulations, and is valid for three years. The Enhanced Certificate of Compliance certifies that the business is compliant with all state laws and regulations, and is valid for five years. Both types of certificates are issued by the MOOR upon successful completion of the application process.
