A Kentucky Exemplification Certificate (District Court) is an official document issued by a clerk of the district court that authenticates a public record or document. It is typically used to certify a copy of a birth, death, or marriage certificate, or other official document. The Kentucky Exemplification Certificate (District Court) is issued on an embossed court seal, and it is signed by the clerk of the district court. There are two types of Kentucky Exemplification Certificates (District Court): the Exemplification Certificate (for authenticating public records or documents) and the Certificate of Authentication (for authenticating documents from another state). The Exemplification Certificate is usually used for records or documents that are more than two years old, while the Certificate of Authentication is used for documents from another state.
