Illinois Consent Judgment is an agreement between two or more parties that resolves a legal dispute without going to trial. This type of judgment is usually used when the parties involved agree on the terms of a settlement. It typically involves the payment of a certain sum of money and/or performance of certain actions by one of the parties. The consent judgment is then submitted to a court of law, which will issue the judgment and make it legally binding on the parties. There are two types of Illinois Consent Judgment: Uncontested and Contested. An Uncontested Consent Judgment is one in which both parties agree to the settlement terms without a trial. A Contested Consent Judgment is one in which both parties disagree on some or all of the terms, and the court will ultimately decide the outcome.
