The Illinois Notice of Rejection of Award is a document issued by a court in the state of Illinois to formally reject an award made to a party in a civil lawsuit. This document is intended to inform the recipient of the court's decision to deny the award and provide a legal basis for the decision. It is also sometimes referred to as an Order Rejecting Award. There are two types of Illinois Notice of Rejection of Award: the Summary Rejection of Award and the Detailed Rejection of Award. The Summary Rejection of Award is issued when the court finds that the award is not in line with the legal requirements or is not in the best interest of the litigants. The Detailed Rejection of Award is issued when the court finds that the award is not consistent with the applicable law or is not in the best interest of the litigants, and provides a more detailed explanation of the court's reasoning.
