Illinois OF Demand for Jury is a program that provides eligible individuals with the opportunity to serve on a jury for a criminal case in Illinois. This program is managed by the Office of the State Appellate Defender (SAD). Individuals who wish to participate in this program must meet certain criteria, including being a resident of Illinois, being 18 years or older, having a valid driver's license or state ID, and having the ability to understand and communicate in English. There are two types of Illinois OF Demand for Jury: Regular OF Demand for Jury and Limited OF Demand for Jury. Regular OF Demand for Jury is available to any Illinois resident who meets the criteria mentioned above. Limited OF Demand for Jury is a specialized program for individuals with a physical disability or mental illness that may prevent them from serving on a jury. This program provides special accommodations for individuals with a disability or mental illness, such as wheelchairs and interpreters.
