The Illinois Affidavit In Support of Warrant and Order (Firearms) is a legal document used by the state of Illinois to provide evidence in support of a court warrant and order for the seizure of firearms. The affidavit is filed by a law enforcement officer or other authorized individual authorized to do so by the state of Illinois. This affidavit must include relevant information such as the reason for the seizure, the circumstances leading up to it, the firearm(s) involved, and the individual(s) involved. It must also include an affidavit of the law enforcement officer or other authorized individual stating that the seizure is necessary for the safety of the public or for the prevention of a crime. There are two types of Illinois Affidavit In Support of Warrant and Order (Firearms): an affidavit for a search warrant and an affidavit for a seizure warrant. An affidavit for a search warrant is used when law enforcement officers need to search a home or other premises to locate a firearm. A seizure warrant affidavit is used when law enforcement officers need to seize a firearm from a person or premises. Both of these affidavits must be signed by a law enforcement officer or other authorized individual.
