Iowa Trade Name Form is a legal document used to register a business name in the state of Iowa. This form is used to reserve a business name and is required for any business that wishes to trade under a name other than the owner’s name. It is also known as an assumed or fictitious name filing. There are two types of Iowa Trade Name Form: Individual and Business. The Individual form is used to register a business name for a person or sole proprietorship. The Business form is used to register a business name for a corporation, LLC, or partnership. Both forms must include the business name, contact information, and signature of the owner. Upon completion, the form must be filed with the Iowa Secretary of State.
