Iowa Chapter 31 — Admission to the Bar is a set of rules and regulations governing the admission of lawyers to the practice of law in the state of Iowa. It establishes the qualifications and procedures required for admission to the bar, including passing the Iowa Bar Exam, completing a professional responsibility course, and complying with the Rules of Professional Conduct. It also includes rules for reciprocity for lawyers from other jurisdictions, as well as continuing legal education requirements and the rules for reinstatement of a previously suspended license. There are two types of admission to the Iowa Bar: full admission and limited admission. Full admission is available to those who meet all the requirements and pass the Iowa Bar Exam, while limited admission is available to those who have completed the approved course of study but have not yet passed the Iowa Bar Exam.
