BUSINESS LICENSE INFORMATION: 1.) This license gives you the right to set up your business only at the location approved by Planning & Community Development (757-514-4150 Ext 1).

A DBA in Virginia is not required and you don't need a business license or register your business with the State. However, if you choose to operate your business under a name other than your legal name, you must register a DBA with the State Corporation Commission (SCC) in Virginia.

All new businesses, regardless of location within Suffolk County, must register with the State of New York through the Suffolk County Clerk's Office in Riverhead. The Suffolk County Clerk's Office can be reached at (631) 852-2000.
