Description

The Caregiver form application with Canada in Los Angeles serves as a formal agreement between a client and a caregiver, detailing the terms of employment and the services provided. This comprehensive document outlines the responsibilities of the caregiver, including assistance with daily living activities, medication scheduling, and mobility support. Users can establish a flexible work schedule, with a requirement for a 48-hour notice for any changes. The agreement also allows for termination by either party with two weeks' notice. It's important to note that caregivers are recognized as independent contractors, thereby limiting their authority. Legal acknowledgment is provided, allowing clients the option to consult with an attorney before signing. This form is particularly useful for attorneys, partners, owners, associates, paralegals, and legal assistants, as it emphasizes clear legal obligations, potential liabilities, and negotiation flexibility for both the caregiver and the client, ensuring a structured approach to caregiving arrangements.

FAQ

Canada is offering a new unprecedented opportunity for qualified foreign caregivers to obtain Canadian permanent residency (PR) as soon as they arrive in Canada. This new caregiver pilot program replaces Canada's “Home Child Care Provider” and “Home Support Worker” pilot programs, which came to an end in 2024.

As we announced earlier this month, the Canadian government revealed plans to introduce a new caregiver immigration program, officially named the “Home Care Worker Immigration Pilots” (HCWP). With the program set to open on March 31, 2025, the eligibility criteria have now been officially announced.

The Caregiver Certificate is a comprehensive six-month foundation program that trains students on ways to help family or friends with challenges due to illness, disability, or aging. This program prepares students to meet the needs of a loved one with an injury, illness, or disability.

We only process up to 5,500 applications each year under the caregiver pilots: 2,750 applications for the Home Child Care Provider Pilot. 2,750 applications for the Home Support Worker Pilot.

EB-3 Visa for Caregivers The EB-3 (Other Worker) visa is a permanent US visa that allows the caregiver to live and work in America permanently. The EB-3 visa does not require any specific skills, credentials, or experience on the caregiver's behalf in order for you to be given the visa to work in the United States.

Caregivers will receive the decision on their work permit applications in around 10-12 months while their PR applications will be held until they complete their 2 years of work experience with the Canadian employer(s).

The processing time for obtaining Canadian Permanent Residency (PR) through the caregiver program can vary depending on several factors. In one of our cases, the application for Canadian PR through the caregiver program took approximately 19 months. In another application it took 9 months only.
