Anyone can report suspected child abuse or neglect to a local department of social services or to the CPS Hotline. Callers will be asked to provide as much information as possible about the child, the alleged abuser and the incident.

If the custodial parent needs to put the children in daycare or has other childcare costs due to his/her employment, the costs will be usually added to the basic child support obligation. The childcare costs cannot be more than an amount the court believes is “required” to provide quality care from a licensed provider.
