Is on campus housing guaranteed for students for all four years? How many years are students required to live on campus? Wake Forest has a six-semester residency requirement and is committed to providing housing for eight semesters for students in good standing.

Many colleges have a matching system to pair you with your future roommate. If they do not, they might do it manually within their housing department. If you are going to an in-state college or going to a college with someone you know, you have the opportunity to choose your future roommate if you so wish.

First-year students will be assigned to live in one of seven residences hall on South Campus. We call this South Forest. In general, residence halls are coeducational by floor, suite, and/or wing. All rooms are equipped with beds, closets, desks, cable television connections, Wi-Fi and Ethernet connections.

Students are required to live on campus for three years in campus housing unless they live with their Parent/Guardian at their permanent residence in Forsyth County or a contiguous county.

Room Assignments You will be assigned to one of these communities at random. As such, students are not asked or able to indicate preferences. New students may be assigned to a single or double room based on their preferences and availability. Note that students assigned to single rooms are charged at the single rate.
