We encourage you to take the Roommate Agreement seriously - schedule time to sit down with your roommate and talk through each of the points. It is important that you are honest and clear with your roommate during this time, and don't just say what you think your roommate wants to hear!
Roommate requests must be mutual – both students must request and accept one another in order to be assigned. For suite and semi-suite units, students can only request roommates, students who live within the same room. It is not possible to request suite mates, students who reside in other rooms in the unit.
Typically, though, the housing prices at VCU range from around $3,500 to $5,000 per semester, depending on factors like the room type (single, double, or triple) and building location.

More than 5,700 students live on campus, including most first-years. Residence halls at VCU come in all shapes and sizes, from traditional rooms to suites and apartments. All buildings have secure entrances and a 24-hour information desk, as well as laundry facilities, lounges, Wi-Fi, air-conditioning and furniture.
You may consider opting to have a roommate assigned to you, which is an easy way to meet someone new as you start your UVA journey! If you do want to request a roommate, preferences must be mutual and designated on your housing application during the roommate preference phase of the application process.
If you do not have a specific person in mind, you can conduct an online search for potential roommates and be presented with possible matches based on the information provided in your Profile. You will be able to contact potential roommates and update your application to request them.
To provide the opportunity for new students to meet new people and build new friendships, Stanford does not give freshmen and transfer students the option of requesting a particular roommate. You will learn who your roommate is, and your room number, after you arrive on campus.
