Residents who wish to cancel their housing contract before their contract start must submit their cancellation online via the Housing Portal. The Cancellation will be effective upon receipt of the notice. A confirmation email will be sent to the student after it is processed.

A cancellation request must be submitted in writing from the student's @sdsu email, and addressed to oha@sdsu. Cancellation requests received after July 21, 2025, will be assessed for additional housing fees. For more information, please visit the License Agreement page.

To accommodate roommate requests, each student in the roommate group must have the same room type and learning community interests. If you do not wish to form a roommate group, Housing Staff will assign your roommate(s) based on your answers to the lifestyle questions indicated on the Housing Portal.
