If you would like to share your room with a specific person, you will need to indicate your roommate preference. Students can submit a roommate request, and once approved, they will be paired together.
Indicate if you want a random or preferred roommate in My UW Housing, and create/join a roommate group if you have a preferred roommate(s). You may choose to meet someone new with a randomly assigned roommate or to live with someone you already know. Roommate preferences must be submitted by your contract due date.
Choosing Your Roommate(s) If you met someone during Highlander Orientation or know someone who will be attending UCR, you can specify a roommate on your Housing contract. Otherwise, roommate assignments are made using the Housing Contract's personal preferences section.
To request a roommate, both you and your preferred roommate (requests must be mutual) need to go to My UW Housing and complete the following: Either create a roommate group for your roommate(s) to join or join the roommate group your preferred roommate has already created.
Activities are not permitted from p.m. to a.m., without prior authorization (see Section IV(B) below). Note that the Regents Non-Affiliates Regulations imposes a curfew on entering or remaining on University property between midnight and a.m.
All requests to cancel a Residence Hall, Campus Apartments, or Family Housing Contracts should be submitted through the MyHousing portal. If approved, Campus Apartment relocations are communicated and coordinated by the Resident Assignments office, located in the Housing Services Administration Building.
