We encourage you to take the Roommate Agreement seriously - schedule time to sit down with your roommate and talk through each of the points. It is important that you are honest and clear with your roommate during this time, and don't just say what you think your roommate wants to hear!
Housing. If you want to live in campus housing, your school may require full-time enrollment. Schools may require people to live on campus during their first years as full-time students. Otherwise, both full- and part-time students usually have the option to live in private housing off campus.

Can Non-Students Rent Student Housing? Sometimes, even non-students have the opportunity to rent student housing. Some colleges and universities let people who aren't students rent on-campus housing during certain times, like summer or school breaks.
Eligibility: You must be a full-time registered student with no holds on your account with the University to apply for on-campus housing.
All First-Year students are required to live on campus unless they have approval from Housing & Residence Life to be exempt from this requirement. Students who plan to submit an exemption request should complete their request by May 1st (the priority deadline) as exemption requests are not guaranteed.
