Applying to campus housing is easy. Just fill out the housing agreement at myhousing.depaul. Be sure to read and understand the terms and conditions that apply to your intended academic year. A $400 prepayment must be made in order for your agreement to be complete.
Cancellation of the Campus Housing Contract Residents terminating their agreements will need to cancel meal plans directly through Dining Services. TERMINATION OF HOUSING CONTRACT During the term of the Agreement, Student may submit a written request to University Housing to terminate the Agreement.
The housing contract is a legally binding agreement. Prior to the contract's start date, you may cancel for any reason (cancellation charges will apply). After the start date of the contract, any requests to terminate your contract are subject to approval from UCI Student Housing.
Admitted students have the opportunity to share preferences on their housing application that are considered during the housing assignment process. Among the factors to consider are whether you prefer living alone or with a roommate and what habits would be most important to you in a roommate.
Waiving CampusCare Students can submit a waiver via our website prior to the deadline date for the semester. Waivers are good for one academic year: Fall, Spring & Summer, in that order. All waivers must be resubmitted each academic year.
Residential Landlord and Tenant Ordinance. In Chicago, the legal rights and responsibilities of both landlords and tenants are covered in the Residential Landlord and Tenant Ordinance (RLTO).
Landlords want to ensure that you can comfortably afford the rent for your apartment. In Chicago, they typically require monthly gross income to be at least 3 to 3.5 times the monthly rent. For example, if the monthly rent is $2,000, monthly gross income should exceed $6,000.
30 days of notice to terminate a month-to-month tenancy, decline to renew your lease or raise your rent if you have lived in your apartment for less than six months. 60 days of notice for the same if you have lived in your apartment for more than six months but less than three years.
