Description

The Educational Assistance Program for Employees in Virginia is designed to support eligible employees in enhancing their skills and performance through educational courses. This program allows full-time employees with at least one year of service to receive reimbursement for tuition and registration fees for courses at approved institutions, such as accredited colleges and technical schools. The reimbursement is contingent upon the course being related to the employee's job or degree program and is capped at a defined number of credits per semester. The reimbursement amount varies based on the grades received, with higher percentages for grades A and B. To utilize this benefit, employees must obtain prior approval from their supervisor and the human resources department, submit an official transcript and proof of payment after course completion, and maintain employment while completing the course. If an employee leaves the company within two years of any reimbursement, they are required to repay the funds. This form is particularly useful for attorneys, partners, owners, associates, paralegals, and legal assistants who are navigating employee benefits and seek to provide or assist with educational support initiatives for their workforce.
