Before you can receive benefits, you must have an interview with an HRA worker so they can begin to figure out what benefits you are qualified to receive. Depending on the type of program benefit for which you qualify, it may take up to 30 to 45 days to get regular benefits, but for certain cases it may be sooner.
Standard Benefits: Eligible CSEA NYS employees can receive up to $5,000 in tuition benefits, applicable at any approved provider or accredited institution until the balance is used.
Must be a legal NYS resident for 12 continuous months prior to enrolling or qualified under NYS DREAM Act. NYS net taxable income cannot exceed $125,000 for dependent students; $60,000 for married students with no dependents; $30,000 for independent single students with no dependents.

If not, your family will be mailed a P-EBT card — this card has your child's name on it, a unique PIN and is pre-loaded with $420 to spend at stores or markets where EBT is accepted.
