Important Definitions Course Drop: Removal of a course from your schedule prior to the end of the first week of class. Course Withdrawal: Any removal of a course from your schedule after the end of week one using the online form provided.
Withdrawal from a Course Withdrawal during the 5th and 6th week of the semester requires the signature of the course instructor and the department chair. Withdrawal during the 7th through the 12th week requires the signature of the course instructor, the department chair, and the college dean.
Maximum Course Load Students who want to accelerate their programs may enroll for a maximum of 18 units in a semester by adding courses during the change-of-program period, known as Open Registration.
Any opposition to the motion must be served and filed within five days of service of the moving papers and may be no longer than 15 pages. Any reply brief must be served and filed within two court days of service of the opposition papers and may be no longer than 5 pages.
Passing grades are: “A”, “B”, “C”, “D” and all associated with "+" or "-" as well as a grade of “CR” (Credit).
Students may withdraw themselves from the Class Begins date through the Last Day to Drop with No Grade Reported using the online enrollment system, or in person at the Office of the Registrar. Courses withdrawn during this period will not appear on the official transcript.
1.06 Tentative Ruling System. (A) In all civil law and motion, writ, and other departments as designated, a Tentative Ruling System is utilized. On the afternoon of the court day before each calendar, the judge will publish a tentative ruling on each matter on the next day's calendar.
Students are required to request permission from the instructor via the OnBase Add/Drop form to add or drop a class after the second week of classes. To access the form log on to MySacState and navigate to the OnBase Forms page and select the “Petition to Add/Drop/Withdraw from Courses” form.
