If your e-waste is no longer functional, disposal options include the City's Junk Pickup Program, searching RecycleStuff for take-back locations, or calling the Santa Clara County Recycling Hotline: (800) 533-8414. A live person is available for help Monday – Friday from AM – PM.
Goodwill, Salvation Army, and several other charities will pick up furniture that's in decent enough condition to clean up and re-sell. If it's not in good enough condition to re-use, the city of San Jose recycling contractors will haul off large items if you make an appointment. Check here.
