FAQ

Ensure you meet all the qualifications, such as having a valid commercial driver's license (CDL), a well-maintained truck that meets Amazon's standards, and adequate insurance coverage. Your truck must also be equipped with a GPS system, as Amazon Relay requires drivers to use the app for navigation and load tracking.

How many trucks do I need to work for Amazon? There are no fleet size requirements to haul for Relay as long as you have the right types of trucks for our freight – come one, come 100. Book long-haul trips to get every semi on overnights, or sleep in and run local jobs with your single box truck.

Amazon Relay carriers need a valid MC number and a DOT number with interstate authority that has been active for minimum of 180 days. You can still apply even if your DOT authority hasn't been active for 180 days — we'll keep you updated on key program news while you wait to join our network.

Amazon requires the following insurance coverages for Relay trucking companies: Commercial general liability insurance: $1 million per occurrence; $2 million aggregate. Auto liability insurance: $1 million per occurrence (including trailer replacement coverage of $50,000) Cargo coverage: $100,000.

If you are delivering Amazon orders, you'll need to use a 4-door, mid-sized sedan or larger vehicle, such as a truck with a covered bed, SUV, or a van that can safely and reliably transport Amazon orders to customers. Smaller cars and trucks with open beds do not qualify.

Amazon Freight: Shipping and Logistics Services. We blend advanced technology with a network of 60,000+ Amazon trailers and carriers to move your full truckload freight―simply and reliably.

For Amazon, these facilities are integrated with their vast network of fulfillment centers and distribution centers. An Amazon carrier facility is where packages from different fulfillment centers are consolidated and routed to their next destination.

Select Carrier: Choose between Amazon Partnered Carriers or non-partnered carriers based on your needs and preferences. Print Labels: For partnered carriers, print shipping labels directly from Seller Central. For non-partnered carriers, obtain labels through the carrier's platform.
