Following a long stint at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, the NFL has taken the draft on the road where they have conducted the past few in Dallas, Chicago and Philadelphia. Dallas was the first city to host the draft inside an NFL stadium, which took place at AT&T Stadium this year.
In the rare event that a player is drafted by an NFL team and doesn't want to play there, they can request a trade once they've signed on, or just refuse to sign the contract in the first place.
No player may elect to bypass the Principal Draft to apply for a Supplemental Draft.

An Early Entry player who is eligible to be selected in the next NBA Draft pursuant to Section 1(b)(ii)(G) above shall be entitled to withdraw from such Draft by providing written notice that is received by the NBA ten (10) days prior to such Draft.
Since 1989, the draft has consisted of two rounds; this is much shorter than the entry drafts of the other major professional sports leagues in the United States and Canada, all of which run at least seven rounds. Sixty players are selected in each draft.
The order of selection is determined by the reverse order of finish in the previous season. Barring any trades between clubs, each round starts with the team that finished with the worst record and ends with the Super Bowl champions. Teams that didn't qualify for the playoffs are assigned draft slots 1-20.
