Players who have graduated high school but not attended college are eligible for the draft, as are those who have completed at least one year of junior college. Players attending four-year colleges are eligible to be drafted upon completing their junior year or turning 21 years old.
Fielding a Team/Forfeit A team forfeits a game if it does not have nine (9) players and an official coach ready to play within 15 minutes after the umpire's official start time. A team also forfeits if it does not have at least eight (8) players playing throughout the game.
Any current draft-eligible prospect from the Division I, Division 2, Division 3, NAIA and Junior College levels as well as graduating high school seniors can participate in the pre-Draft portion of the MLB Draft League.
Player Eligibility To be eligible for the draft, players must have been out of high school for at least three years and must have used up their college eligibility before the start of the next college football season.
How are players selected for the MLB Draft Combine? The Combine is invitation only. Players are selected by a committee of MLB, USA Baseball and MLB Club scouting executives, incorporating feedback from all 30 MLB Clubs.
Players on an organization's 40-man roster are protected from the Rule 5 Draft. To be eligible for selection, a player must either have spent four seasons in professional baseball after signing at age 19 or older, or spent five seasons in pro ball after signing at 18 or younger (as of June 5 of that year).

Teams are awarded their draft slot through a lottery unless the team made the playoffs in the previous year. If a team makes the playoffs, they are slotted into the draft based on their finish.

Slash Bunting Prohibited A batter who first s a bunt and then takes a full swing on a pitch shall be called out. For purposes of this rule a new pitch begins if the pitcher disengages from the pitcher's plate or if time is called. All other Little League Rules shall apply.
