To complete the official withdrawal process, visit the Registrar's Office. They are located in Hood Hall on the main campus. Off-campus or on-line students can contact the Registrar's Office at (561) 803-2072.
To request a withdrawal, you will need to: Complete the online withdrawal request to withdraw from one or more classes. Provide a serious and compelling reason on your request form. Continue attending class until your request is approved. If your request is approved, you will receive a W on your transcript.
Students may withdraw from course(s) online through Workday. A grade of W will be denoted on the student's transcript for withdrawn class. The deadline to withdraw for each enrolled course is listed on the student's Class Schedule. Students are permitted a maximum of two attempts and/or withdrawals per course.
A student will be permitted a maximum of three attempts per course. Attempts include the original grade, repeats of course grades, audits after the add/drop period ends, and withdrawals (student or faculty/instructor).
Students wishing to withdraw from all courses should fill out the Semester Withdrawal Form. Until the end of the second week of instruction of the semester, students are expected to drop courses by using "My Sac State" (.my.csus).
From the UCF Undergraduate Catalog 2022-2023 Withdrawal—prior to the withdrawal deadline (see Academic Calendar), students may withdraw themselves from their courses through myUCF (for other methods see below). They will receive a W in the course(s). This will not affect their GPA.
HOW DOES A "W" AFFECT MY GPA? A grade of “W” is not calculated in the grade point average (GPA). Courses that receive “W” grades are counted as an enrollment attempt and will affect a student's ability to repeat the class.
