Income Driven Repayment (IDR) Application Processing If you have an IDR application that has not been processed within 60 days and have an unpaid bill within 10 days of the due date, MOHELA will automatically place a processing forbearance as directed by Federal Student Aid to your account.
A final review of your account will be done to process forgiveness, which will take at least 90 business days. You're required to continue making payments while your form is being processed, unless your account is in a forbearance status.
If you faxed or mailed your PSLF form to MOHELA it may take up to 14 days for your mohela account to note that the form was received. Please allow at least 90 business days for your form to be processed.
How to Buy Back Months for PSLF. You must make an extra payment of at least as much as what you would have made under an income-driven repayment (IDR) plan during the months you're trying to buy back.
PSLF Process Because you have to make 120 qualifying monthly payments, it will take at least 10 years before you can qualify for PSLF. Important: You must still be working for a qualifying employer at the time you submit your form for forgiveness.
