You are advised to apply for regular visa through the Indian Visa Online portal of the Government of India. If you attempt to enter India on an e-Visa by suppressing information about your professional background, you may be denied entry into India and deported from India to the port of embarkation.
It may be noted that it could take up to 5 business days (longer in certain cases) for processing of the visa on receipt of the application in the Consulate, subject to complete submission of documents.
