Below are download links to an outline template, a numbering worksheet and a patent application template. Use a lettersized paper (8.5″ x 11″) with a clear margin of at least 2.5 cm (1 inch) on all sides. The original patent should be checked for the presence of such language before an assumption is made that the contents are in the public domain. The first step to filing a patent application is to document the idea or concept based on which the patent is being filed. Use TI= to search in the title, AB= for the abstract, CL= for the claims, or TAC= for all three.
