Canadian citizens travelling by air to the United States must present one of the following documents: a passport, which must be valid for the duration of their stay. a valid NEXUS card, used at self-serve kiosks at designated airports.
You must first apply to the province or territory where you want to live and be nominated, and. After a province or territory nominates you, you must apply to IRCC for permanent residence. An IRCC officer will then assess your application based on Canadian immigration rules.
Most travellers, including Canadian and U.S. citizens, must carry a valid passport to travel to a foreign country. A visa or electronic visa may also be required for some countries. Canadians holding dual citizenship must travel to Canada with a Canadian passport.
Give the photo specifications to the photographer when you are having your photos taken. Follow these instructions: on the back of the photo, write the name, date of birth, height and eye color of the person in the photo, and. scan both sides of the photo and upload it along with your application.
Help filling out the application form The form will ask if you've applied to IRCC before. This means a full application – for example, for a visa, a work permit, another immigration program. Filling out an Express Entry profile doesn't count. It will also ask if you've applied for Express Entry before.
Download and fill out the application form on a computer. The Generic Application Form for Canada IMM 0008 must be validated with 2D barcodes. If the 2D barcodes are missing or can't be machine read for any reason, the application will be returned to you without being processed.
