To Update Your Contact Information: You must FIRST file a Notice of Change of Address and Contact Information in ALL open cases pursuant to Local Rule 11.1(g). Go to Pacer and log in to your PACER account. Click Maintenance tab. Click Update Address Information. Enter Reason for Update. Apply update to (select one):
Name and address changes must be updated on BOTH your driver license/ID Card and title/registration within 30 days after changing your name or address.
Florida law requires you to update your address within 10 days of moving. Can I update my address online? Yes! You can complete your Florida driver's license address change online through the Florida DMV Virtual Office, or you can visit a local DMV office in person.
YOU NEED TO CHANGE COURTS? To move your case to another court, you must make a “Motion to Change Venue” in writing, and file one copy with the Court where your case is currently located and another copy with the Department of Homeland Security.
You must file a Petition for Change of Name (Minors, Adult or Family) that can be obtained: In person at any Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller location. Online at the Florida Courts website. It is important to include your name, address and telephone number on every document you file with the court.
All name changes must be completed in person at a local office; however address changes can be completed online via MyDMV Portal or also in person at a local office.
County Civil Court has jurisdiction over claims up to and including $50,000. A County Civil case is any civil matter that falls within the jurisdiction of County Court. Detail may be found in Chapter 34, Florida Statutes.
