To apply for the homestead exemption, download and print the Residential Homestead Exemption Application and mail the completed application to: Central Appraisal District of Collin County, 250 W. Eldorado Pkwy, McKinney, TX 75069.

File with your county assessor after February 1 and on or before June 30. Nebraska Schedule I must be filed for all categories except Numbers 4 and 5. See instructions on reverse side for specific requirements. Qualified owner-occupants age 65 and over as of January 1 of application year.

The completed Exemption Application, Form 453, must be retained by the appropriate county official. Appeal Procedures. If an application for exemption is disapproved, appeal may be made to the County Board of Equalization within 20 days after the date the disapproval notice was mailed.
