Description

The International Independent Contractor Agreement is a vital legal form designed to outline the relationship between an independent contractor and a corporation, ensuring clarity in terms of deliverables, payment, and responsibilities. This agreement establishes that all work produced by the contractor is a 'work made for hire,' thereby granting ownership rights of the deliverables to the corporation. Key features include the contractor's right to manage their own working hours and responsibilities, as well as stipulations regarding payment, duration, and termination of the agreement. Additionally, the agreement emphasizes compliance with various legal and ethical standards, including non-discrimination and adherence to the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act. For the target audience—attorneys, partners, owners, associates, paralegals, and legal assistants—this form serves as a crucial tool for defining roles and obligations, mitigating risks associated with independent contracting, and ensuring legal compliance. Users can fill this form by providing specific details such as the names of parties, payment amounts, and addresses, and should review it for completeness and accuracy prior to execution.
