Eligible applicants can file the 2023 Senior Freeze application (Form PTR-2) online at nj/treasury/ taxation/ptr or by paper, using the form in this booklet.

Form PTR-1 is for applicants who are filing for a reimbursement the first time (or who filed an application the previous year that we denied because the applicant did not meet all the eligibility requirements).

The ANCHOR (previously Homestead) Benefit and Senior Freeze (Property Tax Reimburse- ment) pro grams are separate programs, and separate applications must be filed every year for each program.

Anyone who did not receive a booklet should contact the New Jersey Division of Taxation's Senior Freeze Property Tax Reimbursement Information Line for assistance at 1-800-882-6597 (The U.S. Postal Service does not forward application booklets).

Senior Tax Freeze NJ eligibility requirements Have an annual income of $150,000 or less in 2022 and $163,050 or less in 2023. With some exceptions, all income must be taken into account, including things such as Social Security and pensions.
