NHS certificates and membership cards serve as a tangible representation of the students' achievements and serve as a keepsake they can cherish for years to come.
After creating an account, the NHS adviser will use their school's online roster to verify that the student is a member of NHS. Upon being verified, the student will receive the most up-to-date information about NHS programs and activities delivered straight to their inbox.
APPLICATION AND MEMBERSHIP The Faculty Council will evaluate the requirements of scholarship, leadership, service, and character for each eligible candidate. Final selection of the National Honor Society is the responsibility of the Faculty Council.
My name is your name, and I am a proud school year student at your high school. With a grade point average of your GPA, I am deeply committed to academic excellence. Through my dedication to learning, I have achieved high grades and developed valuable study habits and a strong work ethic.
Per national policies, students must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 85, B, 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, or equivalent standard of excellence, or higher, as determined by their local chapter. (Each school chapter is allowed to require a cumulative GPA above the national minimum.)
Example: “I am very excited about the opportunity to contribute to the NHS Trust team. I believe my skills, experience, and commitment to patient-centred care align with your Trust's mission, and I would welcome the chance to discuss my application further. Thank you for considering my application.”
After the Selection Committee meets, decisions are given to the students in the form of a letter from the National Honor Society advisor.
It is my hope that I will be accepted into the National Honor Society where I'll be able to improve my leadership skills, engage in more community service, grow in my character, and excel in my academic career. I will be a great assest to NHS and that I will be able to inspire others in my community.
