It will help your referee write your reference if you let them know what you are applying to study and let them see your personal statement in advance.
The personal statement is one of the many factors in the overall assessment of your application: it's your opportunity to introduce yourself to King's and tell us about your interest in your chosen subject, as well as any work experience or extracurricular activities you have done.
Admissions Tutors will be reading a lot of personal statements so it's important to grab their attention right from the start.
If you write your personal statement as too broad and not specific to you and your own experiences, that may also prompt a rejection. personal statements are about you, not the subject (i've read ones where they speak about how great the subject they applied to was, but not how their experiences can show that).
Holiday closure: The King's campus is closed from end of day December 20 to January 2. Offers of admission to all programs are made on a rolling basis. Apply as early as possible.
Wherever possible, we aim to provide a final decision within 8-12 weeks of application receipt. However, for our most competitive programmes this may take longer as we will be making assessments across all applications received.
2.1 The UCAS Similarity Detection Service reviews all personal statements within incoming applications. These are checked against a library of all personal statements previously submitted to UCAS and sample statements collected from a variety of web sites and other sources including paper publications.
UCL is harder to get into than kings. UCL requires a good , so a bare can be (and is often) rejected. It depends also on references/work/publications etc... Kings is a / borderline entry. There are plenty of degrees doing the LLM at KIngs, but it is still an excellent school.
