Freshman students can apply to UMD using either the Common App or ApplyWeb platform.

The U of M has two applications: Golden Gopher Application and Common Application. We do not have a preference on which application a student submits, but students should only pick and submit one application. Students can begin applying the August before their senior year of high school.

Freshman applicants can submit applications through Common App or ApplyWeb. Transfer applicants must use ApplyWeb. Undergraduate admission applications must be completed online; UMD does not offer a paper application.
