In a move to consolidate its core automotive businesses, Ford sold its tractor operation to Fiat in 1991. Under the arrangement, New Holland was allowed to use Ford branding for a limited time, which it did until 1999.
The plant was open from 1918 to , with a red convertible 2004 Ford Mustang GT being the last vehicle built at the historic site. Demolition of the historic DAP facility was completed in 2008.
