You can schedule an appointment for your test using the FLHSMV Online Appointment Service and Information System (OASIS). You will need to arrive for the test with an insured vehicle that has a valid license plate. If the vehicle passes a safety inspection, you can proceed with the driving test.

Theory test appointments can be booked and keeping to three clear working days' notice, can also be changed and cancelled online or by telephone.
If you already have a test booked, you can also try checking late at night. I had mine booked for the end of July, and last week I happened to look for a cancellation at like 10pm one night, and managed to get one for the following Sunday. Early morning or late night are probably your best bets.
Finding an earlier theory test can be tough since the DVSA does not have a cancellation list. We search test centres every 5 minutes for theory test cancellations to give you the best chance of finding an earlier test date.
