Under Siege is a genuinely good film and Seagal, as much as he can, actually gives a pretty good performance. Executive Decision is also great, but he doesn't actually have a huge role in that despite it usually being classed as a Seagal film.
Under Siege The movie that (deservedly) made Seagal a star! He gets caught up in a major mutiny on a hangar ship, and has to take out a bunch of baddies by himself. Also has an over-the-top crazy Gary Busey and an amazing rock'n'roll-psycho Tommy Lee Jones as bad guys!
Ultimately, his biggest downfall took place due to acting. Getting employed became a tough task, not only due to actors speaking out against his authoritarian directing style, but also because of his reputation for sexual misconduct and assault.
