Utah Criminal Code §76-5-109 defines child abandonment as intentionally ceasing to maintain physical custody of your child or intentionally failing to ensure that he or she is safely in the physical care or custody of another.

What Constitutes Adverse Possession? There is a presumption that the person with legal title to a parcel has the right to possess and use the property. Another person may overcome that presumption and establish legal title by showing that the other person has possessed and used the property for at least seven years.
If the premises is abandoned, the landlord may take possession and try to rent it at a fair rental value. If there is personal property on the abandoned premises, the landlord may make a list of it, remove it, store it, and recover the moving and storage costs from the tenant.
Recovering tenant's personal property - 15 day limit All of these things must be done within 15 calendar days after the date of the notice that the premises have been abandoned. After 15 days, the landlord may sell the personal property and can keep any amount the tenant owes.
