Today, most states have laws allowing school boards to make dress code rules for students. School boards do this to promote a safe, disciplined school environment. They also create these rules to prevent interference with schoolwork and discipline. They also encourage uniformity of student dress.
All students are expected to wear neat, acceptable and clean clothing which includes pants, shorts, shirts, dresses, skirts, blouses, and footwear at all times.
Allowable Dress & Grooming -Students must wear clothing including both a shirt with pants or skirt, or the equivalent, and footwear.
Clothing that exposes the entire shoulder, tube tops, spaghetti straps, or similar type of clothing may only be worn with a blouse or shirt. Clothing exposing the torso or the midriff, either front, back, or sides shall not be worn. Underwear shall not be visible.
