FAQ

If Bing keeps coming back as your default search engine, it's possible that there is malware or a browser hijacker on your computer. You may want to run a malware scan using an anti-virus program or use an anti-malware tool to scan for and remove any potential threats.

(at the top right corner of Google Chrome), select "Settings". In the "On startup" section, disable the malicious extension (if present), look for a browser hijacker URL (hxxp://.bing) below the "Open a specific or set of pages" option. If present click on the three vertical dots icon and select "Remove".

To disable Bing: Open Edge, click the three dots (…), select “Settings”. Scroll down and click “Privacy, search, and services”. Locate “Address bar” and click “Change search engine”. Choose a different engine or customize further.

If your default search on Chrome is Bing, you can always switch to Google easily. Click the three dots in the upper right-hand corner, then click “Settings”. In the left-hand navigation, click “Search engines”. Swap “Bing” for any other search engine you'd like to use.

If you are not the webmaster or site owner of the page, which you want to remove from search results, you need to contact the webmaster of the site to take down the content. If the content is no longer on your site, you can use the Content Removal Tool to request a page removal from the Bing search results.

You or someone else using your browser might have changed the default search engine on your browser. The changes might also happen because of a software update or after adding a browser extension. Some extensions might change your default search engine without clear notification.

Step 1: Open Microsoft Edge. Step 2: Click the three dots in the top right corner and select Settings. Step 3: Navigate to Privacy, search, and services. Step 5: Under Search engine used in the address bar, select your desired search engine (e.g., Google, DuckDuckGo).

See search suggestions. As you type either uncheck that if you want to disable it or you can checkMoreSee search suggestions. As you type either uncheck that if you want to disable it or you can check mark it to re-enable search suggestions. And then you will need to select save to save the change.

Step 2: Disable integrated Bing search in Windows 10 settings. Go to Privacy, click Search, then press “Searching Windows”. Then, toggle off “Use Bing as my default search provider”. Pro Tip: Changing the default search engine only affects searches made through the browser.

Use the minus sign (-) or the word “NOT” (another Boolean operator) along with two keywords to exclude certain results. You'll search for the first word while excluding results with the second word.
