Phone calls always need to be made from the incarcerated individual to you. Even if you have the phone number of the facility where they are located, you will not be able to call and talk to them. However, they will be able to call you.
In Illinois, comprehensive inmate records are maintained online by the Illinois Department of Corrections (IDOC). Members of the general public may access the state's inmate records via the IDOC's Inmate Search page. Users may filter searches on the page using any of the following details: Inmate's last name.
You can use your phone or computer to send emails letters, and photos to an inmate. Messages are sent electronically to inmate tablets or kiosks at the facility. If you would like to send an message, start by searching for an inmate at Cook County Department of Corrections .
Individuals in custody cannot receive telephone calls but can make collect calls to those on their approved calling list.

Family and friends wishing to participate and receive either an In-Person or Video Visit may consult with their loved one. Next, your detained friend or family member will need to add your name to the visitation list and you will be contacted by a CCSO staff member to schedule a day and time for your visit.
