The Board of Bar Examiners publicly publishes the names of examinees that passed the Bar Exam, including their first, middle, and last names along with their city and state. The Board of Law Examiner's publishes a pass list that includes applicants' first and last names.
California Bar Examination All other attorney applicants must take the general bar exam. Please note that the State Bar does not offer reciprocity or accept bar exam scores from another jurisdiction.
Some jurisdictions are known to publicly post the names of those who pass the bar exam. Notable jurisdictions that do this include California, New York, and Texas. Other jurisdictions, like Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Massachusetts, prefer to keep the names of passers private.

Results are posted on the Applicant Portal. At p.m. on the day results are posted, applicants can also access the pass list on the State Bar website. Applicants who have failed the exam receive the grades assigned to their written answers as well as their MBE scaled score.
To access your results, visit the admissions applicant portal from the calbar.ca website. You will need your applicant number and file number. You can access detailed performance data for the General Bar Exam through the Applicant Portal.
California is widely considered to have the hardest bar exam, due to its low pass rate and the difficulty of the content and constraints of the exam.
