While the Florida Bar Examination includes 1 component of the UBE — Multistate Bar Examination (MBE®) — the remainder of the exam tests federal and Florida-specific law. As a result, the Florida Bar Exam is considered 1 of the more difficult bar exams nationwide.
If you then earn a score of 136 or higher on that individual component, you will pass the bar. (Note: If you've recently taken the bar exam in another jurisdiction, you can transfer a passing MBE score (136 or greater) to Florida, so you only have to take the Florida-prepared examination.)

The passing MBE score for the Florida Bar is 136. The transferred score must be achieved within 25 months of passing Part A of the Florida Bar Exam and the MPRE. For the February Bar exam, the previous MBE score must be received by January 15th to be exempt from taking the MBE portion.
The election of inactive status is subject to the restrictions and limitations provided elsewhere in these rules. Membership fees for inactive members are $175 per annum.
