3 The I-864W is used to establish that the person is not required to file an I- 864 Affidavit of Support. This means that if someone is exempt from the Affidavit of Support requirement, the Form I-864 is not simply omitted; rather, the Form I-864W is submitted in lieu of the I-864.
Can I file Form I-864 online? If you received Form I-864 through the National Visa Center (NVC), you can submit it online through the Consular Electronic Application Center (CEAC).
