You can definitely ask for a copy! There’s no harm in saying you’d like to have one for yourself, but whether or not you get it depends on the agreement.
If you spot that your image or voice has been used without your okay, you might want to reach out to the company or person behind it. It’s best to address it directly and see if you can sort it out.
Most of the time, the release specifies how long they can use your image or voice. It’s like a lease agreement, and it can vary project by project.
If that’s the case, it’s best to voice your concerns upfront. Just let the folks know that you aren’t comfortable being recorded or photographed.
Unfortunately, once you sign it, you usually can’t take it back. It’s like closing the barn door after the horse has bolted. Always be sure before you put your name down.
If you’re just a passerby in the background and not the main focus, you usually don't need to sign anything. But keep in mind, some projects might have different rules.
It’s a fancy way of saying that you’re giving permission for someone to take your photo or record your voice. Basically, you’re saying it's okay for them to use your image or voice in their projects.
