You must apply for approval to visit by completing a Visitor Questionnaire (CDCR Form 106). Please obtain the Visitor Questionnaire by having the incarcerated person you wish to visit send the form to you.
Generally, you'll provide your name and contact information along with a physical description of yourself. You'll also be asked specific questions about your background that might affect your approval, such as whether you've ever been suspended from prison visitation and whether you've been convicted of a felony.
The inmate you wish to visit must send you a current official application. Alternatively, you may complete an application online. The electronic application can be located on the Florida Department of Corrections Website/Offender Search/Inmate Population Information Search/Inmate Population Information Detail page.
The review and approval process could take 4-6 weeks. Upon approval, the inmate is notified and it is his /her responsibility to notify you. If you are denied, a letter will be sent to you from the Visiting Office which will state the reason for your denial.
Scheduling: All individuals who are approved to visit are required to schedule an appointment using the GTL Scheduler before visiting a prisoner. Visitors are required to schedule the visit at least 48 hours prior to the visit, but not more than 7 days prior to the visit.
