Complete our Online Pre-Application, print it and bring it to any of our Courthouses to obtain your Marriage License. Search Marriage License Bureau records and order Certificates of Marriage. To schedule an appointment to apply for a Marriage License, you must first fill out the Online Pre-Application form.
Requirements. When applying for a marriage license both spouses must be present. If one or both of the applicants are minors, under 18 years old, additional requirements apply. All applicants must present a valid federal or state government photo identification with the correct legal name, date of birth and signature.
There are TWO steps to obtain a marriage license. The first step is to complete the online application, and the second step is to have the license issued and signed. Marriage licenses are valid in any Florida county for a period of 60 days from license effective date.
The service is available to couples over the age of 18 and includes Florida residents, out-of-state brides, and, couples from overseas planning a wedding in Florida. The online marriage license is valid throughout the entire State of Florida.
For Florida Residents Clerk and Comptroller services, such as applying for a marriage license and getting married at the courthouse, are walk-in services. No appointment is necessary.
