Writing large numbers in words involves splitting up the sections by commas and connecting them that way. For the number 4,902,563,982, we would first start with the billion's place and go from there. Four billion, nine hundred and two million, five hundred and sixty-three thousand, nine hundred and eighty-two.

For a large number, the first comma has to be placed after hundreds place (that means three digits from the right of the given number). This comma marks thousands. The second comma will come after the next two digits (that means five digits from the right of the given number).
